Musculo-Skeletal Rehabilitation

Orthopaedic physiotherapy is a branch of rehabilitation that concentrates on the treatment of conditions related to the bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. This can include pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation and post traumatic rehabilitation. A few common conditions related to orthopaedic rehabilitation are arthritis, spondylitis, fracture, ligament injury, muscle injury, osteoporosis and postural deviations.


Each physiotherapy session could be a combination of various techniques such as Electrotherapy, exercise therapy, manual therapy, strengthening and reconditioning. Treatment sessions are planned according to the diagnoses of each patient and include immobilization, use of assistive devices, orthosis and muscle strengthening.
